1. When was Federal International listed and what was the offer price? 

Federal International was incorporated in 1999 and listed on the SGX Mainboard on 11 September 2000 at S$0.296 per share.  

 
2. What are the core businesses of the Federal International Group? 

Federal International is involved in business activities which support the regional Oil and Gas and Energy and Marine Logistics sectors. Specifically, the Group is engaged in four business areas:

  • Trading of mainly flowline control products and equipment such as valves and other related products for oil and gas and petrochemical industries
  • Design / Research & Development and Manufacturing (especially R&D for specialized sub-sea valves)
  • Marine Logistics
    • Chartering of vessels and barges to the marine and offshore oil and gas related industries
  • EPC and maintenance services and BOO or BOT services for projects in the oil and gas, energy and marine-related and environmental management sectors.

3. What is Federal International's strategy for enhancing shareholder value? 

Federal International is focused on enhancing shareholder value by taking a stake in projects or activities that will deliver stable and sustainable long-term recurring income for the Group. To achieve this, the Group has already taken initiatives to venture into the BOO /BOT projects for the power utilities in Singapore and Indonesia. The Group will also focus on continuous improvements in operational efficiency, provide quality services and products, expand its global distribution network into new and untapped markets, while looking at strategic realignment of businesses to achieve value for its shareholders.
Specifically the Group will leverage on its solid track record for quality products and services and its strong global market presence to seek more business opportunities in the oil and gas, marine and energy sector.

Federal International believes in rewarding shareholders by way of dividends whenever the financial position allows it to do so. The Group has no fixed dividend policy; however, it has given out a final dividend of S$0.008 for FY2005. For FY2006, Federal International announced an interim bonus dividend of 8.537 cents per share, and a total final dividend of $0.016 per share, which comprises of final dividend of $0.008 and special dividend of $0.008.
